If you have already attended the Arizona Department of Education's New CTSO Advisor Training, this training is not for you. PRESENTORS:

Kim Petronella
I am a Health Occupations and Work-Based Learning coordinator/instructor at my CTE center. I teach at the same CTE center that I was a student at, which is an amazing experience. I have worked in the health care industry since the age of 16, and serving and caring for people is my passion. When I made my move to teach at my school, I knew I found my calling, teaching in a CTE center, and teaching a trade that I love. As a SkillsUSA, and former VICA member, I have seen and experienced the amazing benefits of the SkillsUSA organization. I am currently the State Officer Team manager for New York and a SkillsUSA advisor at Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES in New Hartford, New York. I am honored to have received the SkillsUSA CTE Outstanding Educator Award, named the National Advisor of the year in 2023, and also received the Hall of Champions award that same year. I am a SkillsUSA National Facilitator and this year I received my National Trainer certification from SkillsUSA. I’m very proud that my SkillsUSA chapter has been recognized as a Chapter of Excellence Gold level for 10 years and acknowledged as Models of Excellence Chapter 3 times.

I am a dedicated Culinary Arts and Hospitality Educator with over a decade of experience teaching junior and senior high school students at WSWHE BOCES in Hudson Falls, New York. A proud graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, I blend my professional industry background with a passion for career and technical education. I have been an active SkillsUSA advisor since 2013 and currently serve as the Lead Chapter Advisor for WSWHE BOCES and the New York State SkillsUSA Officer Team Manager. In 2024, I was honored to be inducted into the SkillsUSA Hall of Champions. I am also a Certified National SkillsUSA Facilitator, delivering professional development and leadership training to students and educators nationwide. Under my leadership, our chapter has proudly earned SkillsUSA Chapter Excellence Gold for the past five years and was recognized as a 2025 SkillsUSA Models of Excellence chapter. Many of my students have achieved top placements at regional, state, and national SkillsUSA competitions. My mission is to help students develop both their technical expertise and leadership skills, empowering them to thrive in the culinary industry and beyond.
