Each SkillsUSA chapter (CTE program) may register up to twelve (12) student attendees for Camp Champion. Additionally, Camp Champion will have an overall capacity limit of 400. Slots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

It is highly recommended to only bring your strongest SkillsUSA members and leaders to this event. We want to create a positive camp experience, and the best way to do that is by engaging those who are either already passionate for SkillsUSA, or at least have a budding enthusiasm for it.

Submission of conference registration and the generation of an invoice does not constitute an indication that you have made it within the capacity. After you submit registration, you will need to wait for an email from Daniel Kelly to confirm your attendance. If you did not make it within capacity, the auto-invoice will be voided.

Every attendee, student and adult, is eligible and encouraged to earn our coveted SkillsUSA Arizona Statesman Award! The Statesman Award can only be earned at Camp Champion. Out of the nearly16,000 members we have in SkillsUSA Arizona, only the 400 members who attend this camp are eligible to attain the Statesman Award. This means that YOU have the chance to join the elite ranks of the less than 3% of our membership who become a SkillsUSA Arizona Statesman.

To earn the award, a few items of mandatory pre-work are required. These requirements will be released within our Camp Survival Guide on Oct. 17, and the pre-work and testing window will be from Oct. 17-31.

Camp Champion will conflict with the 2023 Arizona Construction Career Days (AZCCD). Plan accordingly.

Advisors who want to do both have found success by having another chaperone to take students to AZCCD, while they bring their students to Camp Champion.
